Paula Radcliffe has made the big decision to have surgery of osteoarthritis in her foot. I felt so sorry for her having to pull out of the Olympics and having to let go of her dream of a Gold medal there. I saw her on TV in the stands and thought she was very brave to be there.

Click the link below to read the full story and about the type of surgery she is going to have (she is not having a replacement).

Sometimes Surgery for Osteoarthritis is the Only Answer

I am sure Paula has had all the best physical therapy over the years and sometimes surgery is the only solution. This type of surgery is not as drastic as a total replacement and I am sure she will work her way back to running.

I for one, wish her all the best for her surgery for osteoarthritis and for her subsequent rehabilitation.
